The theme for our 2019 parade is
“Old-Fashioned, American Fun”.
One of the most notable community events is the annual 4th of July Celebration which includes a parade, festival in the park and a fireworks show over the lake at Independence Point. Praised as being one of the most spectacular fireworks display in the Northwest, the event is funded entirely by the CDA Chamber through sponsorship’s, member businesses and citizens donations.
The festivities begin with a parade down Sherman Avenue from 15th Street and ends at Government Way. Crowds move toward City Park for activities, live music and food vendors while waiting for the fireworks display at dusk.
