about us

The Inland Northwest Food Network connects people, place, food and farms through education and outreach. We envision a resilient, community-based food system that celebrates the cultural aspects of our region's food and promotes health for individuals, the environment and our local economy.

Founded in 2014, this volunteer-based organization hosts cooking classes, monthly public presentations on topics related to food systems, a book club, seed swap, workshops related to gardening, farm to table dinners, farm tours, movies and more. We have an online Food and Farm Guide to help connect eaters to area farmers markets, community gardens and local farms that use organic or sustainable growing methods.

In 2017 we are launching two new programs; Drink This is a year-long series of monthly presentations that explores the story behind our drinks (tea, coffee, cider, beer, wine, fermented drinks, etc); and a Power of Produce (PoP) Club. The PoP Club will be held at the farmers market during the summer. Children who join the Club will receive tokens that they can use to shop for fresh food at the market. There will also be an activity booth designed to teach kids how to grow and/or cook food.
