What is a Hootenanny?
hoot·en·an·ny [hoot-n-an-ee] noun, plural hoot·en·an·nies.

1. a social gathering or informal concert featuring folk singing and, sometimes, dancing.
2. an informal session at which folk singers and instrumentalists perform for their own enjoyment.
3. older use: a thingumabob. origin: 1910–15; origin uncertain.

Can I have more information on the overnight bundle?
This is a brand-new option for 2024. You are invited to spend the night of the event and enjoy brunch the next day. If you purchase this option Lutherhaven staff will be in touch with you to confirm details.

How will guests get to the event? Where do I meet the boat? Where should I park?
Guests will arrive at Camp Lutherhaven via CdA Cruise boat. The boat will depart the CdA Resort promptly at 3:30pm. Check-in opens at 3:00 at the Boardwalk cruise boat launch on the east side of the CdA Resort. Boat will return to the resort by approximately 9:45 pm. The Coeur d’Alene Resort may have complimentary valet parking depending on availability in lot for Boots & Pearls guests. You may also park in the Tubbs Hill paid parking lot. Should you choose to drive, check-in will be open at the top of camp near the Chapel at 4:00 pm.

The boat will dock at the Camp Lutherhaven beach where guests can choose to walk up the hill or be chauffeured by vehicles from the beach to the Dining Hall. The opening reception, fiddle band and beer/wine/cider tasting activities will be in the newly remodeled Gathering Place, outside the Dining Hall. After the evening’s program guests will return to the outdoor space for a delicious rustic, buffet style catered dinner! Transportation will be back down to the boat for those who prefer not to walk.

The attire says “Cowboy casual with a touch of bling!” What does this mean?
Think rodeo chic. Think denim and diamonds. Comfortable enough to walk the dusty trails of camp; dressed up enough to feel ready for a special evening. Anything goes!

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes a boat cruise, wine & beer tasting, gourmet appetizers, dinner and entertainment. You will also have opportunities to purchase wine and beer by the bottle and make a pledge to support the cause.

Who does the event benefit & how can I contribute?
An evening of fun and generosity supporting the Lutherhaven Fund, making camp available to ALL children regardless of ability to pay. Annually over half of campers come for free or at reduced cost thanks to donors like you! During the program, you will be asked to raise your paddle to make a pledge to support this fund.

Is this an event for children?
This event is designed to benefit the children but celebrate with adults only. Because of the wine & beer tasting, children are not invited to attend. You will be surrounded by friends 21 and over.

How will beverage service work?
The opening reception will include opportunities to choose one selection for a full-glass pour (included in ticket price). You will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles or glasses to take home or bring to your table for dinner accompaniment.

Are my tickets tax deductible?
The ticket price is not tax-deductible.  All sponsorships and donations made by paddle-raise are tax-deductible.

Do you take credit cards?
Not during the event, at check-in, all guests will be provided with a paddle number. You will have opportunities to purchase wine and beer and make a pledge using your paddle number. Purchases made by paddle number will be billed by email/mail after the event. Please help us ensure we have your contact information correct. All bills can be paid by check or electronically by credit card.

Credit cards will be accepted on the boat cruise (no-host bar) before and after the program at camp.
