Description
Join us for a heartfelt and meaningful day at the 12th Annual "Run for the Angels Fun Run and Family Day," a community event designed to honor and remember children who have passed away unexpectedly. Whether you prefer to run, jog, or stroll, this inclusive event invites everyone to come together to support a noble cause and enjoy a day filled with connection and remembrance.
Taking place at the picturesque Riverstone Park, the event offers a range of activities to engage participants and attendees. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, explore our sponsor booths and visit Memory Lane, where you can create a luminary, paint a rock, or make a button to commemorate your child. A silent auction, featuring unique items to support the Northwest Infant Survival and SIDS Alliance (NISSA), will also be held during this time.
The Remembrance Ceremony begins at 1:00 PM at the amphitheater by the pond, where we will read the names of the children we are honoring. This touching ceremony will be streamed live on Facebook, allowing participants near and far to take part. Following the ceremony, the ~2.5 mile fun run/walk starts at 1:30 PM, offering a scenic route along the Centennial Trail with views of the Spokane River. Participants can complete the course at their own pace until 3:00 PM. Bicycles and strollers are welcome, and the route will be marked with over 130 signs, each dedicated to a child that has passed.
Event day of registration and pick-up will be available on Sunday, October 13th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Riverstone Park, where participants can collect their shirts and bags.
Join us in honoring precious memories, raising awareness, and supporting emotional support programs for families affected by pregnancy, infant, and child loss. Everyone is welcome to be a part of this special day.
