Be inspired by energetic expert instructors and build critical 21st century STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) skills. Each STEAM Lab session will be focused on a specific topic targeting a particular age group. These daylong workshops are for various age groups and ability levels. They will be offered free of charge at the University of Idaho Harbor Center Campus in Coeur d’Alene.
July 17 - iPads in the Art Room, Grades 9-12, 9:00am-4:00pm
Utilize technology to research and better understand color theory and how it pertains to the art world. Use that same technology as an artistic tool to create a work that would normally be done by hand. Explore how technological advances have created a new era of artistic expression and possibility. Learn basic drawing and painting techniques that can be translated from the paper to the computer, or tablet, and develop an understanding of the world through color.
