Saturday Night Headliner: John Novosad, a.k.a. “Hippieman”
John is a stand-up comedian based out of the Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado. John has performed in clubs, theatres and weird little coffee houses across the country for almost three decades. Yes, there were some day jobs along the way.
John grew up in Boulder, Colorado - which is a damn good place to be from if you’re Hippieman. He made his comedic debut sometime around 1980 at the Blue Note in Boulder. John has toured extensively over the years and continues to do so. He’s also a featured performer at The Comedy Works, sharing the stage with some of the biggest national acts working today.
John made his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, has written a screenplay – Hippieman: The Movie and is currently working on a comedy pilot.
In the future John will continue to perform and develop Hippieman’s Plan for America – comedic solutions to our nation’s problems. And be happy.

Saturday Night Featured Act: Debbie Praver
Debbie Praver has been an invited guest performer at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, shared the stage with Kathy Griffin in Dennis Hensley's "Screening Party" and also appears in the movie "screening party". She is the producer and headliner of "Armed With Laughter: Soul (dier) Boot Camp", tours with Armed Forces Entertainment, performs regularly at The Improv at Harrahs Las Vegas, headlines the show "An Evening of Sarcasm and Stand Up" in Los Angeles and is the host of the "I Know, Right??" podcast that can be found on itunes......or by clicking this link.

Debbie honed her writing skills with Desperate Housewives Creator Marc Cherry and Desperate Housewives Co-executive Producers Joey Murphy and John Pardee. She refined her stand up act when she studied with the fabulously talented yet brutally honest Improv owner Mark Lonow. She has been published in Los Angeles' Atomica magazine, has been a fill in sidekick for Dennis Hensley on his Sirius Out Q radio show, makes appearances on paper in Dennis Hensley's "Misadventures in the 213" and Del Shore's novel "Sordid Lives." Her impatience combined with her sarcastic wit made stand up comedy her only career option.
Praver spent too many years in Disney costumes including Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey, the March Hare (who???............the hare is in Alice in Wonderland), and in a pinch she crouched down to do Donald Duck in a parade.
After escaping from Mouschwitz she toured as a Dance Leader for the media tour of the Broadway musical "Footloose", choreographed many fitness videos (those include Bob Harper's "Inside Out Method", Denise Austin's "Pilates Matwork", and George Forman's "walk it off with George"), and was the technical choreographer for "the Method workout" series for Fit TV.
Debbie received her BS in Physical Education/Exercise Physiology from Cal State University at Long Beach and has multiple group fitness certifications. She can be found teaching her signature Laugh Your Ass Off class in Los Angeles.
