The Capitol Christmas Tree this year was selected from the Payette National Forest in Idaho and will make a quick stop in Coeur d’Alene. Come visit the National Capitol Christmas Tree on November 11th as it makes its journey to Washington, D.C.
This event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Sherman Ave Between 1st and 2nd streets. Join Mayor Steve Widmyer, the Idaho Panhandle United States Forest Service, the Coeur d’Alene Police and Fire departments, and many others as we welcome the 2016 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree to CDA!
We’ll have free coffee, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and cookie decorating, ornament making, music and more!
Along with your stop to sign the Christmas Tree banner on the side of the giant truck, be sure to show your support for our Veterans by stopping at McEuen Park for a memorial ceremony between 10:30 and 11:45am.
