SUMMARY:Break the Silence - Suicide Awareness & Prevention 5K Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, September 9th\, for the ninth annual Break the Silence 5K walk\, run\, jog\, (or however you roll)\, along the picturesque Centennial and Prairie Trails in remembrance of those lost to the completion of suicide\; and in effort to raise awareness of this tragic event claiming the lives of loved ones.\n\n\n\nThe annual "Break the Silence" Walk begins at the beautiful Riverstone Park\, a 10-acre park boasting a 60-foot fountain\, nestled in the Village at Riverstone. On-site registration and check-in opens at 9:30 AM.\n\n\n\nThis year\, walkers will start at Riverstone Park/Centennial Trail junction and travel west on the Centennial Trail to the Prairie Trail connection and head north. The "Break the Silence Loop" sign located at the halfway point of the walk will signify it's tme to return to Riverstone Park\, where light snacks will be waiting. The "Break the Silence" trail will be clearly marked so you won't get lost!\n\n\n\nRegistrations that include the purchase of a 2017 Break the Silence t-shirt must be processed by August 21\, 2017. BUT.... if you register after August 21st\, or if you realize you really need the 2017 Break the Silence t-shirt in your wardrobe\, they will be available for sale the day of the event.\n\n**Suicide survivor resource information and crisis intervention information will be available.**\n\n\n\nAll proceeds benefit Suicide Prevention Action Network\, Idaho.
