Upbeat Breakfast

Date: August 8, 2017 Time: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description August's Upbeat Breakfast is presented by the Chamber's Natural Resources Committee and sponsored by Lotus Fit by Design. This month's speaker will be Professor Frank Wilhelm. Professor Wilhelm will speak to us about understanding the seasonal trajectory of algae and related health advisories in Fernan Lake.

Frank Wilhelm is a professor of limnology (study of inland waters), in the Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences at the College of Natural Resources at the University of Idaho.  He joined the department in 2007, after six years at Southern Illinois University.  He teaches under/graduate courses in limnology, as well as the freshman core sequence in CNR.  His research interests are broad and include the remediation of freshwaters in the face of an exponentially expanding human population that relies on access to clean water.

Upbeat Breakfast occurs the second Tuesday of every month. On average 150 members attend, making it one of the most popular networking events in our community. Trade tables allow members to display their business and briefly address the group. The program features a different speaker each month, highlighting various topics of interest. With a reservation, the cost is $15 and includes breakfast and coffee.
