Featured Act: Nathan Brannon
"Nathan takes the audience on an unexpected ride full of witty stories, clever punch lines, and amusing shadow puppets. He brings smiles and hilarious anecdotes to the stage every time he grabs the microphone. Nathan also added this sentence because he needed a higher word count.
Nathan was the winner of the Seattle International Comedy Competition in 2014, was voted in Willamette Week's "Portland's Funniest 5" for 2013, and released his first comedy album, I Black Out, that same year. On top of that, he was the winner of Helium Comedy Club’s “Portland’s Funniest Person Comedy Competition” in 2012.
Nathan has opened for national headliners such as Dave Chappelle, Damon Wayans, Maria Bamford, and has photoshopped himself into photos with many more. The back of Nathan's head was seen in NBC’s new series, “Grimm”. Nathan is now seeking a funnier way to end this paragraph."
Opening Act/Host: Alvin Wiliams Jr
It’s hard to be likable when you’re being brutally honest, but Alvin Williams has found a way, and he’ll show you for a small fee. From the little things in life that truly matter, to the big issues that shouldn’t matter at all, Williams finds the funny in all the places you forgot to look. Whether it’s celebrities, politics, relationships, sports, family, or random tv commercials, you won’t know which direction he’s headed next, you’ll just be glad you took the ride with him.Born in Chicago, IL, Alvin shared his childhood between Illinois, Tennessee, Colorado, Oregon, Louisiana, and Idaho (yes, Idaho), making him a “native son” in many of his performance destinations. Growing up he learned to rapidly adapt to his ever-changing environment by turning strangers into friends through laughter, a skill that is noticeably on display as soon as he hits the stage. He has wasted no time making his presence felt on both the national and international comedy circuit with a non-stop tour schedule that spans the entire United States and Canada to his credit. In 2008 he hosted the inaugural Mile High Comedy Festival in Denver, CO. Later that year he became the recurring host of the Shades of Black Show, a multi-cultural talent showcase that tours college campuses across the U.S. In 2009, he was invited to perform at the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival in Asheville, NC, and in 2012 he headlined the Bob 93.7 FM Comedy Festival in Reno, NV.Aside from live performances, Alvin can be seen in a variety of national network television appearances, including commercials for Big Brother Big Sister, Columbia Bank, and Powerball MegaMillions. Most recently he performed on the new tv series Comedy Unfiltered on NuvoTV as well as the shows Comedy Brew and Quicklaffs on Hulu.com, and is a 5-time Featured Comic on the viral video network Comedy Time TV.
